(Refurbished) Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 14″ – Core i5-12450H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, FHD | Excellent Condition

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (14-inch, Gen 8) is a slim, sensible everyday laptop built around a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H, an H-series processor with 8 cores and 12 threads. With 16GB of memory, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD and a 14-inch Full HD anti-glare screen, it suits college students, work-from-home professionals and families who need one dependable machine for assignments, spreadsheets, online classes and streaming.

This unit is the Core i5 / 16GB / 512GB configuration (India model 83EQ0072IN) in Arctic Grey, graded Excellent: fully functional, with only minor or faint signs of previous use. Every refurbished Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 from Mobivault is fully tested before dispatch, backed by a 1-year seller warranty, delivered free across India and paid for by Cash on Delivery.

Key highlights

• Intel Core i5-12450H: 8 cores (4 Performance + 4 Efficient), 12 threads, up to 4.4GHz.
• 16GB LPDDR5-4800 dual-channel memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
• 14-inch Full HD anti-glare display with slim bezels.
• 1080p webcam with a physical privacy shutter and dual microphones.
• Backlit keyboard and a large Precision TouchPad.
• Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, plus HDMI, USB-C, two USB-A ports and an SD card reader.
• 17.9mm thin, from 1.37kg, and passed MIL-STD-810H military testing (21 test items).

Core i5-12450H performance for study, office work and multitasking

The i5-12450H uses Intel’s hybrid design: four Performance-cores boost up to 4.4GHz for demanding work, while four Efficient-cores look after background tasks. That suits real workdays: a video call, browser tabs, a Word report and a spreadsheet open together.

The 16GB of dual-channel memory is a comfortable amount for Windows 11 multitasking, and the NVMe SSD makes start-up, app launches and file copies far quicker than an old hard-disk laptop. The memory is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded. Graphics are integrated Intel UHD: fine for streaming, presentations and light photo edits, but with no dedicated graphics card this is not a gaming laptop.

14-inch Full HD anti-glare TN screen: what to expect

The 1920 x 1080 display is sharp, and its anti-glare surface cuts reflections from tube lights and windows. Slim bezels give an 87% active area ratio. At 250 nits it is designed for indoor use rather than direct sunlight.

This configuration uses a TN panel, not IPS. Colour coverage (45% NTSC) and contrast (400:1) are modest, and the picture shifts at sharp angles, so it is best viewed straight on. That is workable for documents, coding and streaming; colour-critical work is better done on an external monitor. Its TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification is a software solution, and Lenovo’s Eye Care Mode adjusts the colour temperature for late-evening sessions.

Slim, light design with a backlit keyboard

At 17.9mm thin and from 1.37kg, the Slim 3 slips easily into a backpack for the metro or bus commute. The lid and base are PC-ABS plastic rather than aluminium. Its MIL-STD-810H result is a lab test, not drop-proofing, so a padded sleeve is still wise.

The backlit keyboard is a genuine help during evening study or a power cut, and the buttonless 62 x 104mm Precision TouchPad supports Windows gestures. There is no numeric keypad.

Video calls, Dolby Audio speakers and built-in privacy

The 1080p webcam gives a sharper picture than a 720p camera for interviews and online classes, and its physical shutter closes the lens between calls. Dual microphones pick up your voice, while two 1.5W user-facing stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Audio fire towards you rather than into the desk.

Security comes from firmware TPM 2.0, BIOS passwords and a self-healing BIOS. There is no fingerprint reader or IR face-login camera, so you sign in with a PIN or password.

Battery, charging, ports and connectivity

A 47Wh, 3-cell battery powers the Slim 3. When new, Lenovo rated this product line at up to 8.1 hours (MobileMark 2018); on a refurbished unit, real-world runtime depends on battery wear and how you use it. Lenovo says Rapid Charge Boost gives about 2 hours of use from a 15-minute charge, handy when power returns briefly, and Lenovo Vantage’s Conservation mode holds the charge at 75–80% for longer battery life if the laptop mostly stays plugged in.

Ports include two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, an SD card reader and a 3.5mm combo jack. It can drive two external displays alongside its own screen: up to 4K at 60Hz over USB-C and 4K at 30Hz over HDMI. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless duties; there is no Ethernet port, Thunderbolt or SIM slot.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

The RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded. Storage uses a single M.2 2242 slot that Lenovo has tested with drives up to 1TB. Opening the laptop can affect warranty cover, so email us first.

Does it come with Microsoft Office?

Office Home 2024 was bundled with this model when sold new, but that licence is normally activated on the first owner’s Microsoft account, so we cannot promise an active Office licence on a refurbished unit. Please treat Office as not included.

How long will it get updates?

Windows updates come from Microsoft, and drivers and BIOS updates from Lenovo, whose product reference lists 26 July 2029 as this model’s end-of-support date.

Which charger does it use?

Use the compatible charger in the box. Lenovo specifies a 65W round-tip adapter for this model, and we do not promise charging over USB-C.

Will the battery last a full day?

That depends on usage and battery wear. Battery health is verified and reported during preparation, but gradual capacity loss is normal and not covered by warranty, so carry the charger on long days.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Email your order number, the laptop’s serial number, issue details and a photo or video. Claims are verified within 24–48 hours, and a valid claim gets a repair, replacement or refund where applicable.

What if something is wrong on arrival?

Check the outer packaging at delivery; if it looks opened or damaged, record a video in front of the courier. Within 7 days, email your order number, issue details and a photo or video; we review requests within 24–48 hours.
